Upgrading your Magento store can be tricky business and it only gets more difficult as time goes on. As your version gets older it becomes increasingly difficult to upgrade to newer versions of magento as well as any modules you may have loaded. We have come up with a couple of solutions that will make your life easier.
1) Help you upgrade on your server at an hourly rate. Here is how it works. We would arrange a time to help you upgrade your site and coordinate with you and your hosting provider to work through the process. The minimum billing for an upgrade is $200US and it is billed at $100 per hour in half hour increments. Your billing would start when we start the upgrade process. The preferred method of communication is Skype. There will be a period of time that your site will not function and it is advisable that you create a temporary page for people to see while the site is being upgraded. We will perform a full backup of your website and database before we start the upgrade process.
2) Upgrade on our server. A less invasive way to upgrade is to copy your entire site to one of our servers and we would upgrade and then send back the working site. We will start with a fresh version of Magento then insert your database, theme and modules, then test! After everything works we will replace your site with your newly upgraded site.
*Prices start at a flat rate of $199 + a $10 per gigabyte transfer fee. (For 1.3 to 1.4) Your price will increase as your version Magento gets older.
